The wood from the Japanese Hinoki Tree from which the HINOKI ESSENTIAL OIL is derived has a very unique and significant history. Presently, these prized, strong trees are valued for construction of temples, shrines, and important buildings. As an example, the Nara Horyuji Temple built with this wood in 600 AD is still intact. The wood is so valued that by Japanese law, the essential oil can only be extracted from fallen trees.

SUGGESTED USE:
Hinoki Oil can be used in it’s pure form or mixed with other pure essential oils when properly diluted. For aromatherapy, add 3 – 5 drops into a diffuser. For bath, insect repellent, fragrances or skincare, mix 4 – 16 drops the equivalent of 1% – 4% dilution ratio of AISU 100% Pure Essential Oil into 1 tbsp. of carrier oil, such as AISU ESSENCE RICE BRAN BEAUTY OIL. For sensitive skin, start by using a small number of drops such as a 1% dilution ratio. It is recommended to perform a skin patch test when diluted by applying a small drop of product onto clean upper forearm or behind the ear for 24 hours and rinse. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Mixed a small bottle of rice bran oil with 10 drops of the Hinoki essential oil and use this for my hair everyday. Its has similar effects as aragan oil but with a much better scent. Helps with dry scalp and keeps my hair healthy and not dry. Also matches my wood scent deodorant and wood scent after shave. Love this stuff
